Another new design I’ve been working on. Fireflies flutter around in this invitation reminiscent of a muggy summer’s evening.
This will be added to the store soon. If you’d like to place an order in the meantime, please contact us or request a sample. I’m looking to add a few new designs to the store this year, so please drop me a line if you have any design ideas

EPIC will be taking place this weekend at the Vancouver Convention Centre from May 13 to 15. This annual event showcases a lot of great eco friendly companies. There’s always neat new things to see there and tasty food samples to try as well.
There will also be a green wedding expo as part of the show. Something Green will not be participating this year, but some other great vendors including one of our partners, Dandelion Pictures, will be there so don’t forget to check them out.
Last time I went I accidently knocked over a display at the Terasen Gas booth, so I’m going to try to not be so clumsy this time

I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed online shopping. Mostly because I hate dealing with the whole shopping ordeal – driving to the store, finding parking, fighting through crowds of people, and lugging everything home. And going to the grocery store is one of the worst things.
For the past few months I’ve been doing all my grocery shopping almost exclusively at the farmer’s market. It’s great meeting the people growing your food and the atmosphere is amazing. It makes grocery shopping a much more enjoyable experience. And the fact that I know I’m shopping local and I can see the people whose lives my purchases impact is huge.
This past weekend, there was no market in Vancouver as they’re in-between the winter and summer markets, but I was still able to shop locally, organically, and get everything delivered with Spud.
Spud.ca is an awesome website. I’ve used it a couple of times now and I absolutely love it. They specialize in selling locally grown and organic food and they deliver right to you house. It’s like getting presents in the mail that you can eat! The produce is awesome quality and I can find anything that I would normally buy at a grocery store. Some of the vendors from the farmers markets also sell their produce here as well. They have a bunch of incentives too – you can collect points and refer friends for free groceries!
One of the things I think is really neat is their Eco Audit that you can find on each of your orders. It calculates the greenhouse gas emissions you save as well as flyers and plastic bags you prevent from being used. It’s really neat!

They operate in Vancouver, Victoria, and Calgary in Canada and in Seattle, San Fran, and Los Angeles in the US. Check them out! Or make sure to buy from your local farmer’s market. The Vancouver farmer’s market starts up again this weekend at Trout Lake.
